Betrayed Families

Betrayed Families is a place of refuge and hope for families impacted by betrayal trauma. A diagnosis of sex addiction, problematic sexual behavior, or even acknowledgment of a problem is not necessary to get the help your family needs and deserves. The mission of Betrayed Families is to support and guide the impacted system towards a healthier and happier future.

The experience of betrayal can be debilitating and impactful long after the betraying action has occurred. So, whether the impactful event happened last week or 25 years ago, there is hope and healing on this journey for you.

 

Betrayed Families was established in 2017 to address the urgent need for training professionals who work with children and families affected by betrayal trauma and sex addiction. There remains a significant gap in addressing sex addiction, sexual behavior, and betrayal trauma from a systemic perspective and at the family level. The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts and Trauma Professionals (APSATS) kindly hosted the inaugural training, "Betrayed Families: Support for Children and Families," where training was available to both coaches and clinicians interested in working with the family system. That training continues to be hosted by APSATS.

As the field of problematic sexual behavior and betrayal trauma continues to grow, the need for support and prevention does as well. Betrayed Families Coaching and Consulting was born out of the need to engage a broader audience and help families across the globe.
